2025 July Holiday Programme: 8th - 10th July
Open to players of all abilities that intend to develop their game. The sessions will emphasize basic skills, principles of play, decision making and small gameplay.
Open to all Year 3 – 10’s
Wednesday 8th July Year 3 and 4's, 10.00am - 12.30pm - Cost $20 per person.
Thursday 9th July Year 5 & 6, 9.30am - 12.00pm. Year 9 & 10's, 1.00pm - 3.30pm, Cost $40 per person.
Friday 10th July Year 7 & 8's , 9.30am - 3.30pm - Cost $50 per person.
The skills covered will include the likes of ball carrying & elimination, passing & receiving, defending concepts, and goal scoring.
The Holiday programme run by Brent Edwards from The Hockey Experience, designed to sharpen skills and game sense during the school break, a fantastic supplement to the representative season.

Brent Edwards (Eddy) spearheads national-level programmes under “The Hockey Experience”, so the coaching quality is top-tier. These holiday clinics are packed with skill‐intensive work—perfect for building on what’s practiced during the season.
Eddy is a prominent New Zealand field hockey coach and organiser, best known as the driving force behind The Hockey Experience, a national youth development programme. He currently serves as the Director at Go Hockey NZ, overseeing coaching camps, tournaments, and workshops aimed at aspiring U14–U18 players. He is a key figure in NZ youth hockey development, spearheading nationwide programmes to nurture teen field hockey talent.
Notable highlights of his work:
- He led the U14, U16 and U18 Super Challenge Hockey Experiences, which toured around New Zealand, selecting 600+ players, hosting a residential camp, and staging competitive regional teams.
